FAQs

What's the best way to contact you?

I immediately receive submissions on my contact page from this website or you may email me at meghan@kaweckispeechtherapy.com.

Will my insurance cover my visit?

At this time, I am unable to take insurance. However, I provide my clients with a superbill with applicable codes that you can provide to your insurance company for reimbursement. Additionally, I utilize a HIPAA-complaint payment system called IvyPay that allows you to pay with your FSA/ HSA card.

What will my child's session be like?

For children ages 3 and under, my sessions are play-based and typically take place on the floor. When working in a family's home, the caregiver participates in the therapy session.

For children ages 3-5 years, sessions are a combination of play-based and table-top.

For children 5 years and older, sessions take place at a table and involve interactive activities to target their therapy goals.

All sessions are aimed to be enjoyable, motivating and geared toward their individual interests. Each child's social-emotional and neurodevelopmental skills are nurtured as a part of a whole-child approach to treatment.

What does a speech language pathologist do?

A pediatric speech language pathologist's role is to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in children.

If you would like to learn more about speech and language disorders, you may find this information from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association helpful.
